Coach Settings

The Settings page is where you configure your Session site's branding, email, payments, and integrations.

Accessing Settings

Go to Settings in the admin navigation to access your configuration.

Branding

Configure how your site looks and feels:

SettingDescription
Business NameYour name or business name (shown in navbar and emails)
TaglineA short description of what you offer
Brand ColorYour primary color (used for buttons and accents)

Setting Your Brand Color

  1. Click the color picker to choose a color
  2. Or enter a hex code directly (e.g., #3b82f6)
  3. Use the preset colors for quick selection

Email Settings

Configure how emails are sent from your Session site.

Gmail Configuration

Send emails from your own Gmail address:

  1. Click Configure Gmail
  2. Enter your Gmail address
  3. Enter an App Password (not your regular password)
  4. Optionally set a display name
  5. Click Save
  6. Click Send Test Email to verify it works

Getting an App Password

  1. Go to Google Account Security
  2. Enable 2-Step Verification (required)
  3. Search for "App passwords"
  4. Create a new app password for "Session"
  5. Copy the 16-character password

Physical Address

Enter your physical address for CAN-SPAM compliance:

123 Main Street
City, State 12345

This appears in the footer of all emails you send.

Payments

Connect your Stripe account to accept payments from members.

Connecting Stripe

  1. Click Connect with Stripe
  2. Complete the Stripe authorization flow
  3. Return to Session

Once connected, you'll see:

  • Your Stripe account ID
  • When you connected
  • Link to open Stripe Dashboard

Disconnecting Stripe

  1. Click Disconnect
  2. Confirm the action

Before Disconnecting

Disconnecting Stripe doesn't cancel active subscriptions. Cancel those in your Stripe Dashboard first if needed.

Podcast Integration

Connect your Transistor show to provide private podcast feeds for members.

Setting Up Transistor

  1. Find your Show ID in your Transistor dashboard (under Show Settings)
  2. Enter the Show ID in the Transistor Show ID field
  3. Save settings

Members will see podcast episodes on their dashboard.

Finding Your Show ID

In Transistor, go to your show's Settings page. The Show ID is in the URL or displayed in the settings.

Calendar Integration

Display upcoming calls from your Google Calendar on member dashboards.

Google Calendar iCal URL

  1. In Google Calendar, go to Settings for your calendar
  2. Find "Secret address in iCal format"
  3. Copy the URL
  4. Paste it in the Google Calendar iCal URL field
  5. Save settings

Members will see upcoming events on their dashboard.

Styled Calendar Embed (Optional)

If you use a service like SavvyCal or Calendly:

  1. Get the embed code from your scheduling tool
  2. Paste it in the Styled Calendar Embed field
  3. Save settings

This shows a rich calendar view instead of just a list.

Saving Changes

After making changes to any section:

  1. Click Save Settings at the bottom
  2. Wait for the confirmation message
  3. Changes take effect immediately
